Citrus Surgery Center is a participating provider for most major insurance companies including Medicare.  This means we will accept what the insurance company allows for your surgery in our facility EXCLUDING COPAYMENTS and DEDUCTIBLES.  The charges incurred here are known as the facility fee.  The facility fee covers the use of the facility, rooms, equipment and staff required to perform your surgical procedure.  You will receive separate bills from ALL physicians involved in your surgery, anesthesia, and any lab that you may have had.

Surgeon fees are billed by the surgeon’s office.  You should address all questions regarding this service to the surgeon’s office.

Anesthesia fees are billed by the anesthesiologist’s billing service.  Questions regarding your anesthesia bill should be directed to North Pinellas Anesthesia Associates at 1-800-337-6063.

Pathology fees for diagnosing any tissue taken during your surgery and the Pathologist, M.D. in the diagnosis of the specimen are billed by Reliance Pathology Partners.  Questions regarding your pathology bill should be directed to Reliance Pathology Partners or Ruffolo, Hooper & Associates, MD, PA at 1-866-544-0404.  If you still have questions or concerns about your bill after speaking with a billing representative from Reliance, please contact the surgery center and someone there will contact the local Reliance/RHA Account Manager.

It is the responsibility of the patient to be aware of the requirements of his or her insurance company regarding In/Out of Network, referral forms, second opinions or pre certifications and to see that they are met.

Workman’s Comp or Auto Accident Claims:  The patient will need to supply Citrus Surgery Center with the date of injury, insurance carrier name and address, phone number and claim number.

No Insurance:  We will be happy to work out a payment schedule for you.  We will have you sign a financial agreement prior to your surgery.  We also offer CareCredit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
